The fourth studio album by Alicia Keys entitled "The Element of Freedom" is to me her best one yet. With collaborations with singer Beyonce and rapper Drake, already without even listening to the album you can tell it's going to be great. Released on December 15, 2009 in the United States it debuted on the charts at number 2 selling 417,000 copies in its 1st week and it debuted at number 1 in the United Kingdom. With the major success of "Empire State of Mind", Alicia's song with rapper Jay-Z there was a lot of buzz about what her upcoming album was going to bring. The album has 14 tracks with nearly all of them being excellent.

Track 8: Love Is My Disease - I feel she's yelling to much on this song. The lyrics are amazing and paint a cool picture about love playing it off about being like a sickness but she's yelling to much. She sounds like she's trying to create to much emotion that is not needed.

Track 10: Put it in a Love Song - This song features Beyonce and I feel that with 2 people that are such megastars in the music business they could have done something much better. The lyrics are cheesy and the sound of the song makes it sound like it should be on a Beyonce album.

Overall Review

I think "The Element of Freedom" is a great album. It shows that Alicia Keys has grown in so many ways since her first album in 2001. She's taking more risks but still producing quality work. She's sticking to her piano roots and heartfelt lyrics and I love that.

In 2005, Britney Spears comes back on the screens with her TV reality show: Britney and Kevin: Chaotic, aired on cable channel UPN. The TV reality show is a complete commercial disaster. Britney Spears then takes the opportunity of the last episode to diffuse her new clip; Someday (I Will Understand) where Britney Spears shares her feelings about her upcoming maternity.

Wanting to prove to the world that a woman body carrying a baby is still so beautiful, Britney Spears accepts to be taken in nude pictures in the August 2006 edition of magazine Harper's Bazaar, imitating Demi Moore who in 1991 made scandal on magazine Vanity Fair.

4 cups of dried red roses

½ cup of essence of rose

1 pint vinegar

Put all the ingredients in a lidded glass jar; allow to stand for three weeks, often shaking it. Strain, and dilute with equal parts of distilled water. Use as a toner.

Cucumber Mask

1 cucumber

¼ teaspoon of lemon juice

1 teaspoon witch hazel

1 teaspoon alcohol

1 egg white, whipped

Peel the cucumber and extract the juice, add lemon juice, witch hazel and alcohol. Stir well; then blend in the whipped egg. Allow to dry on your face for a minimum of 15 minutes. Rinse off.

Honey Mask

1 tablespoon of honey

1 egg yolk

1 teaspoon olive oil

Beat the egg yolk into the oil, then blend in the honey. Apply to your face and leave on for 15 minutes before rinsing away.

In a glass bowl or jar, put the dried rose petals and cover with the oil. Put the pot in a pan of simmering water, heat until the oil has removed all the colour of the petals. Strain; keep tightly lidded.

Olive Oil Conditioning

Put a very small amount of olive oil onto the palm of your hand; rub your hands together so they glisten. Now apply to your hair where it needs it most i.e.: at the ends. Scrunch it sparingly through the rest of your hair avoiding the roots. Leave for ten minutes so the hair shafts can absorb it, then comb through, and style as usual. Your hair will absorb the oil and it will help to define curls and add weight to light flyaway hair. This is one of my favourite beauty secrets.

For very dry hair, massage 2 tablespoons of warm olive oil from roots to ends. Wring out a towel in hot water and wind round your head turban-style and leave on for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes shampoo and rinse your hair using your normal shampoo and style as usual. This will give deep conditioning and leave your hair soft and manageable.

I tablespoons of fresh or frozen pineapple juice

2 tablespoons of egg yolk

½ teaspoon of cider vinegar

People become addicted to their thoughts. Then that thought comes more often, is repeated more, creates a groove in the head, in the brain cells, and becomes our reality.
Try and experiment; one day you are feeling very miserable: just sit silently in the chair, relax, and start enjoying. Just do the opposite -- don't get into the trap of the misery: start smiling.
